Michael Washer has been a rather prolific writer over the past twenty years or so, having written and self-published several Biblical teaching books, one of them an enormous work of 1000 pages, as well as several novels, and a collection of poetry. He has also written essays and articles for many varied publications. Demonstrating his ability to write in different genres, formats and subject matter in both religious and secular realms, his is a developing voice that is sometimes deeply heartfelt, sometimes academic, sometimes bitingly sarcastic or sublimely simple, but always engaging and with a very clear, well-researched and fascinating perspective.
The first of the writings on this page are the religious, Biblically oriented works of Judaism and Messianic Judaism. Afterwards, are the novels and poetry publications.

THE PICTURES BOOK
What is the purpose of Judaism? What is “Christianity”? Who was Jesus (Yeshua)? How does he fit into Judaism, if he fits in at all? The author tackles these and many other difficult and divisive questions, and in a simple, no-nonsense manner, reveals the Bible as a “code-book”, and gives us the keys to decode it. Judaism is revealed to be a set of “Pictures”, shadows, or metaphors of both heaven, and of God. These spiritual things are not difficult for humans to understand, they are impossible! But, Pictures gives us hope, presenting the Bible and Judaism as a set of repeating patterns that together, form a shadow cast by the Messiah that we can examine and gain understanding of what is impossible to comprehend in any other way.
Viewing Judaism and the Bible as Pictures leads to a lifestyle based on the Biblical Jewish Calendar year. This cycle helps us to: build more honest relationships, hear God’s voice, and identify personal problems and make necessary changes. It is these things which we all hunger for; things that help us to live a life more connected to God.
PICTURES is the first chapter of the larger work: When All the Pictures Are Restored.

WHEN ALL THE PICTURES ARE RESTORED
This enormous volume is Michael Washer’s magnum opus. It is an exhaustive examination of the Jewish Calendar year through the lens of Judaism as a set of Pictures or metaphors of God and the spiritual world.
This monumental work is the culmination of over 16 years of exhaustive research and study. It begins with the philosophy of “Pictures”, then an examination of the Biblical Calendar, the Sabbath, the New Moon and then the Day of the Lord. Spanning the entire Biblical year, it includes each festival and fast, and then the Biblical Jewish doctrines of each time period. Each is given a down to earth and yet very spiritually insightful explanation. Together, and separately, these Jewish times paint a picture of God, His plan, future prophetic events, the Messiah Yeshua, the Messianic Kingdom and countless spiritual truths.

THE JUDAH-LEVI LINK
This little book is a gem, revealing one of the most often quoted and least understood prophesies in Scripture about the Messiah. During the time of Ezra, while sitting on a throne, the high priest received 2 crowns. It was prophesied that the Messiah would be a Priest-King, occupying both “offices” just like the high priest on the throne. Hundreds of years later, the New Testament alleged that Yeshua (Jesus) fulfilled this. Rather than spiritualizing this very important spiritual foundation, this book actually verifies it. The Judah-Levi Link traces the historical geneological chain of intermarriage between the families of Judah (king’s family) and Levi (priest’s family) throughout Scripture and Jewish history. This book provides ample evidence that Messiah could be–and indeed was–the priest and the king simultaneously.

The year 2020, the oppressive heat of Israel’s summer, and global pressure has mounted to force the nation to give up 30% of their land to the Palestinians, and turn Jerusalem over to become a city under international control. Instead, Mattatiahu Meir, the Prime Minister boldly implements a near-insane Plan to take back all of the Biblical borders of Israel. The city explodes, and Meir’s estranged son Danny is injured in the conflict by a group working to force civil war.
The story of the Meir family is followed for four generations, from Mattatiahu’s grandfather Dov in Russia’s bleak Pale of Settlement, where a strange and enigmantic Rabbi changes the course of the family, to Matti’s father Yoseph who undertakes a perilous jourmey from Latvia’s frozen north to pre-Mandate Palestine.
Mattatiahu’s career in the IDF, where he comes to be known as “Matti the Macabee” is fueled by legends of his father, and struggling relationships with his wife Miriam, his lost daughter and his increasingly distant son. War breaks out with Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, and an invasion from Libya and Egypt, forcing the design of an amazing secret weapon, as well as a way to allow a nation to breathe underwater. Civil war then erupts within Israel. In the midst of the chaos of war, Matti’s relationship with his son is healed, Israel is touched by God in dreams, the Ark of the Covenant is discovered in tunnels beneath the Temple Mount and the original “Deuteronomy Stone” is found atop war-ravaged Mount Ebal. Seemingly unrelated events braid together into an epic story of hope and courage.
